Mimicking Movements and Styles
FreshmanYear

A collection of sixty drawings influenced by distinct art movements and styles throughout history. There is a compilation of techniques ranging from the vivid pop art style of Roy Lichtenstein to the grid like structures of Piet Mondrian to the winding gesture strokes of Henri Matisse. The drawings were made on white drawing, watercolor, and mixed media paper using a combination of mediums such as pencil, pen, watercolor paint, acrylic paint, marker, and colored pencils.

Clutch
FreshmanYear
Partner Project with Margaret Shinn

Clutch is for women, ages twenty to thirty, who appreciate an eco-friendly, active, outdoor lifestyle. Our bags are statement pieces that bring their love of the outdoors, whether it be rock-climbing, backpacking, or simply hiking with friends, home to their urban everyday setting. We were inspired by the colors of the venus flytrap, using three shades of green with a pop of muted fuchsia. We elaborated on and combined techniques to create one of a kind textures that mimic natural structures in an eclectic way. We chose a variety of silhouettes and styles so our bags serve as everything from duffel, to purse, to makeup bag.
